{Christmas 2013}

It's passed. We all survived. For another year at least. It was my first as a mummy to two and the first time I experienced Christmas with a newborn too. Overall our Christmas can be explained as BUSY. There was lots going on and lots of people to see. The boys were great. And M was just so excited. It really was magical to see.

Christmas Eve.
Traditionally we spend this with friends. In the past we operate an open house policy and lay on food and drink for our friends. This year it was a scaled down version and just M Four godparents. To be fair for the past 12 years is 6 have spent our Christmas Eve together.
Maxwell was bouncing off the walls all day. But we spent the day indoors pottering, making things, watching tv and baking. Yup I managed to bake!
Before our friends came round. We just chatted and laughed. And enjoyed each other company. A very hyper 3yp asked to go bed at 8.

Then the scene was set ready for the morning.

Christmas Day.
Started at 7.00 with opening the stockings in bed. M loved all his little bits and spent the time telling me "how did Santa know I like this!"  This year I just filled up the stocking as stuff arrived but next year I think I will have to wait until the kids are bed!!
After this we dragged daddy out of bed to the front room. Made a bottle for little one, coffees for us and breakfast for M. Making him eat before opening or we will never get anything down him. Before the present opening commenced.
We didn't buy him much but he was so pleased with all that he got. And spent the morning quietly playing with all his toys. Yes the books were stacked to the side but they will get looked at soon.

We were spending Christmas Day with Kevin's parents. And spent a lovely few hours eating, talking and watching the boys get doted over by relatives.
Dinner was lovely and being the good son and daughter in law we are we washed up afterwards. Not before finding M crashed out on the sofa. So much excitement for one little 3 year old.
Boxing Day
We were spending Boxing Day with my parents, made even more exciting by the fact my sister had given birth on the 22nd!
Maxwell was thoroughly spoiled again with the whole playmobil dinosaur collection (from my sister, parents and my sisters boyfriend!) he was so excited opening these!!
I got brand new baby cuddles with my brand new nephew!
Lots of smiles. (and I fell asleep on the sofa! Seriously I cannot keep my eyes open at the moment. Especially when I know other people are watching my kids!!)

It was a lovely Christmas. A bit different than the usaual and I was not my organised self. But lovely all the same. I'm most looking forward to all the family time with hubby being home. It's great having him about and Maxwell loves all the time with his daddy.

Hope you all had a lovely one. And all ready for 2014.
