{Do you Hybrid?}

I am (and think I always be) a paper loving girl. I love real life stash, I love buttons and thickers, and patterned paper, and cardstock. But I have always liked a little bit of Hybrid action - and I was very honoured that the girls over at One Story Down were happy to have me on board on their creative team! Eekk. There is a real broad section of digi-ness available at the store. And the one thing I like about digi stuff is that they can pick up on trends and wants really quickly!

I print all my bits at home on a Canon Pixma Printer on smooth white cardstock - but I have dappled in using kraft and other types in the past too. I don't have photoshop but I downloaded Gimp, which is a free programme which works similar to Photoshop. I was able to go through the kits, pick out some yumminess, and put them all onto one A4 sheet and print out.

As the store has it grand opening this week there is lots of new kits and new designers over there - also lots of games and challenges on the forum this week!

This layout is a lot of dear lizzy Neapolitan, plus the Digi stuff... Peeps&Milo Journalling cards and the Domesticated Lady Office Taggies (which I LOVE!!!)

Some Echo Park and MME plus using the Tell Me a Story Collab (which if you spend $10 in the store you can get this HUGE kit free!!) , The Doodle Queen Wordbits and Flutter Expressions Forever with You kit

Finally using the Flutter Expressions PP from the Forever with You kit. To create the patchwork look on the pack, resized squares of the PP onto an A4 page to 2inch squares. Once printed out I cut them diagonally and pieced them back together.

Do you Hybrid?

Happy crafting.

  1. Love all the layouts, especially the last one. The patchwork effect is adorable. Going to have to give it and try! Will also have to have another fiddle with gimp as I still haven't got the hang of it, but I love what you've done!

    1. Thanks Dawn. It is a bit slow going at times but just keep trying things out. Let me know if I can help at all (tho I am no expert!!)
